About

I completed my computer engineering bachelor's degree at the University of Sharjah where I gained a lot of knowledge in the fields of embedded systems, networking, microcontrollers, and electronics. I was mostly influenced by the courses of Embedded Systems Design, Computer System Architecture, Computer Communications and Networks, and Network Programming in Java.

My most notable source of experience in the field of embedded systems is my senior design project, where my group and I implemented a smart door lock system based on a Raspberry Pi and programmed in C/C++. The system uses an iris scanner and a keypad for authentication, in addition to a surveillance camera for live streaming. The system also utilizes a mobile application called Blynk, a mobile platform used to control Arduino, Raspberry Pi and the likes over the Internet. In our system, we used Blynk for viewing the live stream, remotely unlocking the door, and for notifications. Lastly, we added to the system a gas leak alarm, a forced robbery alarm, and a motion detector that automatically video shoots the suspect and uploads the footage to a Google Drive.

During my study at the University of Sharjah, I interned at OMX Technology FZE, an ICT products and solutions development establishment, where I gained an understanding of the features and terminologies related to IP surveillance cameras and Network Video Recorders, and then participated in the design of a project that involved taking attendance of students during lectures using facial recognition. Another accomplishment I achieved would be determining the flaws in a set of faulty LCD displays which was necessary to get replacements from the production company.

After I graduated, I made a project of my own, a universally controlled Laser Turret for Cats, which was the last project I made before joining Rashid School for Boys. At Rashid School for boys, I have solved many technical and network issues for staff members, and gained experience in implementing Windows OS, Windows Server OS, Microsoft SQL Server, and virtual machines. I was also responsible for separating the local area network traffic (creating VLANs) and making sure everything falls into the correct category.

After spending almost a year and a half at Rashid School for Boys, the school closed down for renovation purposes. Following the closure, I completed my MBA in Management Information Systems from Girne American University. Shortly after obtaining my MBA, I was employed at Cedar School where I currently serve as the IT Manager of the school.
